NATYCAA began the cup program in 2004 to highlight excellence in two-year athletics based on success in NJCAA championship competitions. Points are given to the colleges based on their performance at NJCAA National Championship events throughout the academic year. A first-place finish warrants 20 points, second-place 19 points, etc. This is the fifth year Daktronics has sponsored this award in conjunction with NATYCAA.
This year TSC had 13 of its athletic teams participate in NJCAA national championship events. The Cross Country and Track teams led the way for the Trojans. Trinidad also had points from the Softball and Beach Volleyball teams.
